Best Solar Pool Cover 2024 | Sun2Solar is The Best Way to Heat Your Pool
**Spoiler Alert** We got the Pool Temperature up 15 degrees already in less than 48 hours!! This is the BEST and Most Affordable way to heat your pool in my opinion. I did a lot of research and finally made the purchase. Gone are the days of heating the pool up in the summer so the water is "warm". So if you want to know how to heat up your pool or if these pool covers even work....This is the video for you.

With all that research I found out that these solar pool covers do work..supposedly. But I still had to try it out for myself. I also found out that clear was the color to go with. It allows the most light and sun rays to pass though and into the water. That is what you want. You do not want to reflect the light off or restrict the light from passing through. Also the clear seems to look better over time. So in this video I will show the whole process of cutting to fit, installing the cover and showing how well it works. Below are links to some good pool covers too.

    I am replacing an old ceiling fan/light because the fan quit working with a new one with remote like the one in video. Theres no ground wire coming from the ceiling, probably because my house is old. Does this mean its already grounded, if so what do I do with ground wire from fan/light or how to test if its grounded?

    • @FortKnoxCo
      @FortKnoxCo 2 години тому

      Not having the ground wire is fine. Some new fans don’t even come with the ground wire. The ground bear copper wire is technically a secondary safety measure. It acts similar to the white wire. So that if something were to happen for the white wire, you would have the ground as a last case scenario for the electric electricity to find its way out. But you will be fine. Make sure you do black to black and white to white and just tuck the ground from the fan away. I would either snip the ground or put a cap on it just to make sure it doesn’t touch anything inside the fan housing.

    I like it. Looks like you stubbed in @ a 2x6 stud. Why would you not go ahead and use 90 degree tubing supports on the back side? I'm not a professional plumber, but I'd want to cut down on the number of fittings as much as possible. Just a thought.

    Most band leaks occur because the band binds as you tighten it. The band looks tight from the front but is loose in other areas. If you tap around the band with a dead-blow or rubber mallet as you tighten it, it helps seat the band and prevents binding and leaks.

      You live in a sandy area just like me. (High Desert of CA, here.) You may want to look into adding a cyclone pre-filter. They run about the same as a new set of filters, but will keep 70% to 80% of the sand and dirt from ever making it to the filter. It takes about 4 gallons of water, with your pump on high to back flush the cyclone. The two best are: CircuPool TJ-16 Typhoon, and the Waterco cyclone 16. Best regards, for the great video.

      @@fredbuchanan2560 yep. Lots of dust is the air out here. Lol. Especially with me doing construction for the last year building in our lot. Hopefully it will be reduced significantly now that the casita is almost done. I need to look into that cyclone though. That would be a good addition for sure. Thank you for the recommendation. I’m from the HD. Hesperia/Apple Valley/Victorville area. 🤙🏼

    Is DeWalt DCD799 strong enough to drill into quartz & granite counter?

    • @FortKnoxCo
      @FortKnoxCo 2 дні тому

      Yeah. Any basic drill can do it. You just need to let the drill do the work. Don’t slam it or put too much manual pressure on it. Let the drill bit do its job and be patient. The power and rpm’s or the drill will be fine.

    Great video! Thanks for the content - How do you make the decision on what to include on each circuit. Other than a dedicated appliance circuit, why would someone opt to have 1 or 2 outlets on 1 circuit and then multiple lights, outlets, and switches on another - is it just about convenience for wiring or is there a formula/total load you are taking into consideration?

    • @FortKnoxCo
      @FortKnoxCo 4 дні тому

      Good question. Technically code depend on your area would say one breaker or circuit for no more than 10 outlets. That’s a very common practice. That’s also usually rated to be safe. Assuming all 10 outlets could be used at once. Obviously you’re not gonna have all 10 outlets on one circuit being used at one time. Usually it’s one or two like a vacuum and a blender. But just for general purposes, a good rule of thumb is no more than 10 outlets per breaker. As far as lights there’s also an equation that has to do with watts or amps. Now with LED lighting you can get away with a lot more lights on one circuit. So for example, I would run 115 amp breaker and run two or three bedrooms off of that one. Since I’m running a lot of lighting in the garage, I ran a 20 amp breaker that will power to wall switches and have two branches of a lot of lights. Everything is LED, so it’s still under loaded. So to answer your question, they’re technically a math equation. My rule of thumb is if it’s going to be a fridge a washing machine or something that is a utility. I would put it on its own circuit if you’re able to. That way if you are using an outlet or something else related it’s not going to pull too much energy off of the one breaker if that utility turns on. So I usually run dedicated lines for those devices. Otherwise, I’ll run 6 to 8 outlets at most on one breaker. Again, just so I don’t overload a circuit. I’m trying to consider the use of power tools and you don’t want too many of those on one circuit because it could pop the breaker. So I usually underload those.

      I’m not 100% familiar with Westinghouse systems. But a quick google search it looks like allfilters dot com has some? And it could be possible that a generic brand or universal filter may work if it’s like theses other systems with cartridges inside.

    • @FortKnoxCo

    I'm not sure what to expect. You say "don't overwork the concrete" and you skip troweling and floating while it was setting. This conflicts with information I've seen elsewhere. Is this simply your preference for a less smooth surface?

      This one went from a warm 3000k look all the way up to 5000k. Thats usually a “warm” look. 4000k is you usually white or “bright white” look.

      I feel like it’s pretty good. But I also don’t use them for music much. Really just use them for the job site awareness. I still use my AirPods for music n stuff.

    Nice video! I know I sometimes soak the filters overnight in a cartridge filter solution after cleaning them. Have you had good luck with that?

      I haven’t done that myself but that could be a good step to add.

    I know you already addressed the issue, but would you recommend them for the range, or are they more practical for a work site?

      I think they’d be good for the range. But I don’t know if it’s the “recommended” use. They work off of the loud loose and sound canceling just like other range ears. So I’d say yes. But again, if you hurt your ears I’m not sure if Milwaukee would have any responsibility for it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    My understanding is with plug on neutral panels used as a main bonded panel. The ground can go on the neutral bar but the neutrals must be one per terminal

      Good information. I know there usually is a difference when you have a main panel and the. Neutral bar and ground bar are bonded vs with a sub panel the two have to remain separate.

    I’m installing on a pitch ceiling and now my receiver won’t fit, the housing is so small. Can I buy a bigger housing by itself?

    • @FortKnoxCo
      @FortKnoxCo 11 днів тому

      It would depend on the brand of fan. Usually the housing design fits the style of the fan. But generally how the housing secured to the fan support that screws into the ceiling is the same. At the end of the day the housing secured by two screws on the side. So it could be possible to get a bigger style of housing. Might just have to be a little creative
